    3. Linda and Kay..... I made a bad boo-boo! In making the bold statement that most of those RUDDS came from Georgia, that I was aware of.....the name of JOSIAH RUDD in Dekalb Co., AL., his name was not JOSIAH, but was ISAH(or ISAIAH), and he was born about 1815 in Tennessee. Shows how smart I am. But he still was in Alabama for a number of years, not too far north of the Gadsden area. Sorry about my sloppiness there. 3. Ron , I called my s-i-l and we put our notes together and I found out some stuff on William Millard Rudd. He died in 1911 at the age of 50. That would put him born in 1860. When he married Jane Wester, he was living in Leesburg, Al in Cherokee Co. The Alabama 1870 census listed a J. Rudd maybe James?) age 55 born in Tenn. married to Martha Rudd, age 52, born in Tenn. They were living in Leesburg at that time.. Children were; Sara (Sarah) age 24, born in Tenn. Melville age 20, born in Ala. Harriet F. age 18 born in ala. Susan J. age 14 born in Ala. and W.M. Rudd age 9 born in Tenn. listed as a nephew. Could this W.M. be my William Millard??? The age and place is right..Could Sara be his mother??? That would have made her 15 when W.M. was born..They could have sent her back to Tenn. to have the child and bring it home as a nephew...This would mean that Noel's grandfather was illegitment.. Could that be why we are having such a hard time of finding out anything??? Let me know what ya'll think..Hey this is getting juicy !!!!!! ----- Original Message ----- From: Ronald Presley <ronpres@yahoo.com> To: <RUDD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, May 21, 2001 4:27 PM Subject: Re: [RUDD] RUDD of SC > Linda and Kay..... > > I made a bad boo-boo!
