Hi All, I've been working on our puzzle all weekend and today and I've about decided that we may have more sons of Burlingham 1st, more marriages of Burlingham 2nd, and we need to come up for a new name for another Burlingham 3rd, because there may be 2 of them.... The Barnwell Co. SC Burlingham/Burrel, William and Samuel had to be born pre-1755 and pre-1765. That puts them in the same age groups as the one we call Burlingham 2nd and George Lounsdale Sr. And these last 2 look to be in Charleston Co. SC at the same time, and they were born pre-1755 also. And In reading about the Revolutionary War in SC, it was a major battlefield, especially the Beaufort District. So in naming a son for George Washington, it sure could have been possible by 1778 from what I've read about SC. It looks to me that the George Rud in 1810 Barnwell Co. census pg 72, ln 12 could be the George Washington Rud (b. abt. 1780) we are looking for. I've followed him forward to 1830 with Arthur Rud living near by and back to 1810. His males could be Arthur, David and Burrel. I'm not sure going back to 1800 until I see if we have some missing people from the census taker. Another little interesting thing I came across. You know the Elias David Rudd served in the War of 1812 in Beaufort District. Even though Beaufort did not see a lot of that war, Andrew Jackson did and he also organized a volunteer army to fight the Native American Creek tribe, who had attacked a settlement in what is now Alabama. This was previous to the Creek Indian Wars in FL. Therefore, Elias named his son Andrew Seth Jackson! Guess I should have paid more attention in American History class...lol Linda
