    3. I believe that this Louisa may be the sister of Asa Rudd, my husband's great grandfather. We believe that Asa is the son of Vincent Rudd who is the son of Johnson Rudd. After Johnson died, his wife moved the famile to Onondaga Co., NY. Asa was born there in 1832. Vincent is living in Switzerland Co., IN in the 1840 census. In the 1850 census Vincent is living in Will Co., IN with one of his daughters. I assume that his wife died sometime between 1840 and 1850. Vincent has a son Erastus age 6 living with him. Asa is in the same county living with his father's sister Olive McDonald. Other children are living with other aunts and uncles. Perhaps the Mary with Laura is another child who stayed with her sister. Of course this is supposition but it might give you some clues as to where to look. Keep me posted if you find anything.
