He served in the War of 1812. In 1840, he had a household of 1 male 60-70, 1 male 30-40, 1 male under 5 and 1 female 50-60. 1840 p. 423; Rockton Cem. Rec. SILAS RUDD was b. ca. 1788 in Vt., d. 6 Dec. 1856; m. prob. (2) Nancy Ann, b. ca. 1816 in Ind.. She may have m. (1) Mr. Hill as John Hill, b. ca. 1839 in Ind., Mary F. Hill b. ca. 1844 in Ind. and James Hill b. ca. 1849 in Wis. lived with them in 1850. In 1840, Silas had a household of 1 male 50-60, 1 male 20-30 and 1 female 50-60. A dau., N.
