The 1850 Hamburg, Erie Co., NY census taken Aug. 6, 1850, has the following on page 36: 533/534 Bradley Rudd, age 31, Cannaller, b. VT Lorinda 31 NY James 8 NY Edgar 7 NY Morris 5 NY Allen 4 NY Harlow 2 NY Charles 1/12 NY Does anyone recognize this family? I am wondering if this Bradley Rudd could be the Bradford Rudd who is listed in the History of Danby as the son of Increase(6) and Lydia (Cole) Rudd. Increase and Lydia and several of their children and families went out to Collins in Erie Co. One son, Joel, went to Hamburg, so it would be logical for other members of the family to go there. A daugher of Increase and Lydia, Sybil m. Timothy Taylor; one of their sons was named Bradley Taylor. Any ideas on this will be gratefully received! Joann Nichols [email protected]
