The Rudd mail list of which I am a part started out with descendants of Jonathan Rudd of Old Saybrook, CT, but it has expanded to include other emigrants and just plain unknown ancestry of Rudd people. I have never heard of a Rudd Family group from Ontario, Canada. I am copying your message and my answer to the Rudd List in case someone else recognizes any information in your message. Quite a few Rudd people from the Jonathan line went out to the Michigan area, so your mother (and you) could be connected to them.
