I'm working on trying to find out more on my Increase(6) Rudd. According to the History of Danby, VT, he was employed by the Customs House Service; this was probably after he went out to Erie County, NY. I'm trying to find out if there would have been any records kept by the Customs House Service. I have a friend who works in St. Albans, VT for the present Customs, and she's going to make some phone calls on Monday to see what she can find. I have a letter I need to answer from a Milton Rudd. I saw his name in a list of new members of the Middletown, VT Historical Society, so I knew he had to be related! He's descended from Johnson's son, Barak, the same as Kevin, I haven't figured it out any further. I don't know where he got his info, but he has Jonathan married to Mary Birchard! Of course, he has my Silas married to Phebe DAVIS, and he had the two Increase (4 & 6) as the same person. So I need to write him and see if I can help straighten out his records.
