Hi R-Gang Samuel Rudd did not make it to Illionois. Mary Ames did go with some of her other family members. Sam and Mary share a headstone in Woodville Cemetery, Jefferson County, NY., even though Mary does not rest there. Samuel's original stone is flat to the ground, but most readable. The dates are RUDD Samuel Mary P Ames 1779-1855 1788-1877 MARRIED JAN. 2, 1806 Randy probably has more reliable knowledge about the move.
