Good detecting, Celia! How can we go about following up on this Browne possibility? I wonder when they arrived in what is now the U.S. I see in the Genealogist's Handbook for New England Research that Saybrook (now Deep River) was established in 1635, so that is probably about when William Browne arrived. I would guess that Rusper where he was a schoolmaster might have been in the UK. Anyone familiar with British places? Was this information in the Browne items you got from Rogue Valley? I've never read that part of my "packet." Best, Joann Celia G.
