    3. We received some exciting news the other night. The tombstone of our gg grandmother Adelia/Amelia Rudd was in the possession of the Hemer, CA Police Dept. Someone brought it in 3 years ago, and they've been looking for family connections. After an article in the local newspapers re this, some smart genealogists got on Rootsweb, found our info, and contacted us. Now we have a death date: July 1, 1870. But of course, now there's a new mystery. We thought she had died in OR. Isn't this fun? Adelia was the daughter of Maverick Rudd and Maria/Mariah Lindsey/Lindsley. Maverick was the son of Barak Rudd and Abigail Mc Huron. ----- Original Message ----- From: <NCRYERSON@aol.com> To: <RUDD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 26, 2001 9:23 AM Subject: Rudd/Hill > Hello to my silent Rudd cousins, > > I was just this week given parents and grandparents for my Harriet > Hill that married my Erastus Rudd > > 1 JONATHAN RUDD > +MARY > 2 NATHANIEL RUDD > +ABIGAIL HARTSHORN > 3 JOSEPH RUDD > +SARAH MOSLEY > 4 INCREASE MOSLEY RUDD > +BATHSHEBA JOHNSON > 5 JOHNSON RUDD > +ABIGAIL BROWN > 6 ERASTUS RUDD > + HARRIET HILL > > >> Harriet Hill b. 5-21-1810 in Onondaga Co., New York and married Erastus > Rudd>> > > My new Hill cousin has informed me that one of Harriet's sisters also married > a Rudd and wondered if I had this info. 3. Hi, Elsimae, Wonderful! I'm betting the gravestone could have been stolen from a cemetery in Oregon and ended up in California. Do you have dates and places of your Adelia? I notice in Rudd Branches that she was born in Michigan, but it doesn't have the name of a husband, only ---- Whitted.
