    1. [RUDD] RootsWeb Scheduling Down Time
    2. Celia Snyder
    3. FORWARDED MESSAGE Starting at 8 a.m. PST Friday, February 23, RootsWeb will begin a planned temporary downtime for maintenance of its servers and hosting process. It will limit this downtime as much as possible, and will return with increased performance and reliability for future growth. In the meantime, please take time to visit RootsWeb.com's sister sites -- Ancestry.com and FamilyHistory.com -- where you will find additional tools such as message boards, communities, and databases to help you in the search for your ancestors. Thank you for your patience. --The RootsWeb Staff

    3. Hi! I have just forwarded this email to Tracy Hays in Longview, Texas. If the two of you are not related or friends, then you should contact each other because you are both looking for the same person. Tracy and I crossed paths several months ago when I was looking for a Harvey D. Rudd. I found mine. He died in 1960 and the story was a good one and my friend (that I was doing the research for) found lots of relatives that were thrilled to find out she existed! She was adopted in 1939, her mother was 15 and old Harvey was 45 and they were never married. He never did marry and died in 1960. Her mother married and had two other children and she died in 1980, but all the children and living relatives on both sides have been found and they have all been wonderful to my friend. It has been a real blessing for me to help and I do hope that you and Tracy Hays are able to finally track down this Daniel H. Rudd and answer all your questions. I have been invited to a Rudd reunion myself in April and I will ask about the circumstances of your search and see if anyone knows a Daniel that might be your person. If I do I will contact Tracy...so if you do not know her, her email as I have it is tmhays@texramp.net and her address is Tracy Hays, 704 Rockwall Drive, Longview, Texas 75604. Good luck in your search. 2. Nancy, Now this is a real shot in the dark. There is an antique dealer in Syracuse, NY (Onondaga County) by the name of David Dalton RUDD. I am looking at an advertisement in the New York-Pennsylvania Collector as I write this. The business is named Dalton's American Decorative Arts (specializing in Stickley furniture, American art pottery, period metal work and lighting). His address is: David Dalton Rudd, 1931 James Street, Syracuse, NY 13206 and his e-mail is: www.daltons.com He may or may not be related to the family you're seeking as there were several Rudds in the Onondaga County area. But if he is, he may have information or someone in his family may have something. Here's hoping! Let me know if you're able to contact him. Judy Offen Caledonia, NY

    3. Sending this again; Joann reported that the replies were not being sent back to the list. I've changed the list configuration so that replies will now go back to the list -- Celia Hi Nancy, I have an Almira Hill who married Sanford Rudd (brother of Erastus) - may be a sister to Harriett. Wonder if this lady has mistakenly listed David (another brother of Erastus and Sanford) rather than Sanford? David married Amy Hicks. I, for one, would be interested in the Hill info you obtained, Nancy; I like to at least list the parents of spouses when known. 3. the records I have show Amelia Rudd married Thomas C. Whitted. thats all that I have on him. the only Adelia Rudd on my list is the daughter of Barack Rudd, son of Johnson Rudd and Abigail Brown. Kevin Stephenson has more information about her than I do. Almira Hill, I show born about 1820, married Sanford Rudd, brother of Erastus Rudd, married to Harriett Hill. both females daughters of Suzy Hill. maybe this won't muddy the water to much. Milton Rudd

    3. Hi, Elsimae, Wonderful! I'm betting the gravestone could have been stolen from a cemetery in Oregon and ended up in California. Do you have dates and places of your Adelia? I notice in Rudd Branches that she was born in Michigan, but it doesn't have the name of a husband, only ---- Whitted. 3. We received some exciting news the other night. The tombstone of our gg grandmother Adelia/Amelia Rudd was in the possession of the Hemer, CA Police Dept. Someone brought it in 3 years ago, and they've been looking for family connections. After an article in the local newspapers re this, some smart genealogists got on Rootsweb, found our info, and contacted us. Now we have a death date: July 1, 1870. But of course, now there's a new mystery. We thought she had died in OR. Isn't this fun? Adelia was the daughter of Maverick Rudd and Maria/Mariah Lindsey/Lindsley. Maverick was the son of Barak Rudd and Abigail Mc Huron. ----- Original Message ----- From: <NCRYERSON@aol.com> To: <RUDD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 26, 2001 9:23 AM Subject: Rudd/Hill > Hello to my silent Rudd cousins, > > I was just this week given parents and grandparents for my Harriet > Hill that married my Erastus Rudd > > 1 JONATHAN RUDD > +MARY > 2 NATHANIEL RUDD > +ABIGAIL HARTSHORN > 3 JOSEPH RUDD > +SARAH MOSLEY > 4 INCREASE MOSLEY RUDD > +BATHSHEBA JOHNSON > 5 JOHNSON RUDD > +ABIGAIL BROWN > 6 ERASTUS RUDD > + HARRIET HILL > > >> Harriet Hill b. 5-21-1810 in Onondaga Co., New York and married Erastus > Rudd>> > > My new Hill cousin has informed me that one of Harriet's sisters also married > a Rudd and wondered if I had this info. Welcome to the list, Celia Hi Celia, I am new to this and was reading the old messages and thought you might be of some help to me. First of all I am not mentioned in the family tree and would like to know how I can be included. My tree is as follows: Nina M. (Rudd) Patterson (me) Oscar Carroll Rudd (father) John Benjamin Rudd (grandfather) Pinkney A Rudd (great grandfather Simon Bolivar Rudd (great great grandfather) Bryant Rudd (great great great grandfather) That is as far back as I know. I would like to know more about my father's side of the family and would appreciate any help you may give. Thanks for your help. Nina M. (Rudd) Patterson <mailto:Nina1092@home.com>Nina1092@home.com
