For those people who do not care to be inundated with individual emails from the list, why don't you subscribe in digest mode? I subscribe to all of the lists in digest mode, scan through them for information that interests me, then delete all of the day's emails with one delete. Sure, you're going to be somewhat behind the conversation of the those who get each post individually, but it's tidier. IMHO, the importance of the list is the genealogical information that is posted. There is little as frustrating as seeing your ancestor's name and no information. The reason for the lookup requests is because some of us don't have access to the materials and may never have the opportunity to get a hold of them. I say keep them coming. My Rowan County ancestors include: James Orton who married Sarah Vanderford; William M. Hancock and Margaret Dettero Clemmer; Jacob Cloninger, Sr. and Elizabeth Clemmer (Hancock) who lived in what became Lincoln Co., NC.
