    3. I thought the purpose of these lists was to share genealogical information. I don't remember seeing any restrictions on the number of posts per day. This complaint seems to appear on all lists periodically. I suspect that it is not the number of posts but the fact that their family is not represented that is causing the frustration. I personally have never understood why there was time to fire off a long complaint letter when the delete button could have been used profitably during that same amount of time. The suggestion of using digest form seems logical.Even though I didn't request any lookups, I want to thank Billy for his willingness to share his time and information. How much easier for him to have used the books for his own research, returned them--instead he sought permission to use the sources , took his time/effort to benefit others. I usually ignore these 'interludes', but felt compelled to express my support of list sharing. If posts are private, webpaged, or, if people feel intimidated about posting, then the purpose of the these lists is lost.
