Hello all, Johann George Reel shows up in Rowan Co. on 1759 Tax list in the household of Jacob Fulwider along with George Tucker. He marries Catherine Schnepp in June 1762. Becomes naturalized citizen Sept 22, 1763. There is a court case on 14 July 1764 - George Rial vs Joshua Ryall. Trying to discover if these two were related in some way. Also have a John Ryall and William Ryall in Rowan Co. at this time. Are these people relatives of George Reel? I'm hoping to find others who may have researched Reel name. A daughter of George Reel and Catherine Snapp, Catherine Reel, married John Rendleman Jr. I read an article in the Rowan Record on David Atwell Rentleman who is said to have done in depth research on Reel name. Does anyone know if his research survives? I know the Reels move to Leepers Creek in Lincoln Co in 1770 after death of Catherine's father, Lorentz Schnepp. Having trouble turning up information on their children. Particularly who they married and where they raised their families. Some names I have are David/Devauld Reel, Jacob Reel, Daniel Reel, Lewis Reel, Rachel Reel, Elizabeth Reel, Devolt Reel and Gottfried Reel. Any help offered would be most welcome. Geral D. Reel
