    3. Dear Charmaine, Additional information on this family is given in Lorena Eaker's "German Speaking People West of the Catawba River in NC 1750-1800". Burgert Records of Evelyn Snapp Thompson, Treasure Island, FL Terrie Wilson, Bristol, TN Watauga Gen. Soc. Bulletin, Vol 17, No 2, 1988, Johnson City, TN. Lorentz Schnepp was baptized 16 Aug 1711 at Wickersheim (Ringedorf Church), northern Alsace, died 27 Nov 1768 - Feb 1771 in Rowan County, NC. He married Elizabeth Eyler before 1739 in Lancaster or York County, PA. She was born about 1720 or before and died before 27 Nov 1768 in Rowan County, NC. She was the daughter of Conrad Eyler of Lancaster County, PA. Lorentz Schnepp was the son of Lorentz Schnepp, baptized 20 May 1669 in Pfaffenhoffen, died 6 Mar 1732 at Hunbrechtshoffen and his wife (married 13 Sep 1639) at Alteckendorf) Anna Catharina Haber, baptized 7 Mar 1670 at Eckendorf (Alteckendorf), died 29 or 30 Oct 1725, daughter of Hans and Anna Barbara Haber. Lorentz and wife Anna Catharina had eleven children baptized in eight different villages in Alsace from 1691-1714. Aftewr death of Anna Catharina, Lorentz married (2) at Hatten, Anna Barbara Stockel and had two more children. Lorentz Schnepp, baptized 20 May 1669, died 6 Mar 1732, was son of Hans Schnepp and wife Maria.
