    3. Rather than printing out all your data as a backup, why not print it to a file. If you need to later, you can then copy that file to the printer. More importantly, why not save the data to a Gedcom (the generic genealogy file format) file. Once you have empirically (after 1/1/2000) determined that your software is/isn't Y2K compliant and are continuing with it or have replaced it. You can retrieve/import the Gedcom file into most any Genealogy program as necessary. If a software publisher won't respond on the phone to a question, they can hardly be expected to respond via e-mail or FAX since both of those methods lend themselves well to use in a court action.
