hello everyone, i went to the library to make some copies of the 1810, 1800, & 1790 census reports for rowan co. i needed the information on the surname ELLIS which i am researching. i noticed that some of these reports were in some sort of alphabetical order. why did they do this? if i'm correct then if someone is listed next to someone else that does not mean that they lived next to each other? this is the first time i have run into this. can anyone out there help me out. thanks in advance, dallas harold ellis
