Mr Sears I agree it is a wonderful idea to check and read the virus hoax info. But I know of 3 separate instances where a person has recieved a virus through a virus reported to be a hoax. The listing of hoaxes also explains that the "virus planters" also use these known hoaxes to their advantage due to people relaxing their guard on these. Some of these viruses are also slipping through the virus scans. One woman did scan hers and was told by McAfee that it was ok and now she must use the computer at her office as her home computer is infected. I myself had 2 attempts last night. While these might be judged as hoaxes, they need to tell me why I am receiving mail from a list I am not subscribed to and also why I am receiving mail from myself to myself. I just advocate total and complete awareness of the address and addressee prior to opening anything especially with attachments. Debbie Carter
