Dear Jean, Do you have any record of a POLLY (MARY?) BRYAN (31 Oct 1784--21 Apr 1843)? In April 1804, she married JOHN SMITH (1780-1812) in Rowan Co., NC; he was of the Peter Smith/Schmidt line in Rowan. At the death of John Smith in 1812, she remarried a JACOB WEANT and I can't find any further information on her--perhaps they left Rowan Co. The information I have on her comes from the Rowan History Room. The daughter of John Smith and Polly Bryan Smith was MARGARET SMITH (1806-1895), married to ISAAC EARNHART in 1822 in Rowan Co.
