We hope you will come by and visit our new Wilkes County Genealogical Society Room. We will be there to talk with you and answer any questions you may have. We will have our "Wilkes County Heritage Books," Vol. 1&2 on sale. Memberships to Wilkes County Genealogical Society will be accepted at this time. There will be several events the week of Jan. 9- Jan.15 at the library. On Wednesday, Jan. 12, Robert Anthony, curator of the NC collection, Wilson Library, UNC-CH, will have a genealogy presentation at 4:00 p.m. and a NC history program at 7:00 p.m. These events will be hosted by Wilkes Genealogical Society.
