To help clear up any further speculation on this line let me post the info to the entire list. This is my family or at least a part of it. Richard Wilson was born in Old Rowan in 1798, died March 24th 1858. he was married to Mary Elizabeth Rattz, born 12/19/1801, Old Rowan County. Richard's parents were Robert Wilson (1765-1830)and Mary Warner (1770-1811). Robert and Mary had eight children including Richard. The parents of Robert Wilson were Richard Wilson (aprox 1745-1800) and Elizabeth Reed. Richard and Elizabeth Wilson had three surviving children, Robert and his two sisters Mary Wilson (1767-1808)who married Isaac Wiseman, and Elizabeth Wilson (1717-?) who married Thomas Reed.
