    3. These two men keep getting in the middle of my hunt for "my" John Davis. I know they are brothers and I know they migrated to Posey, Gibson Co. Indiana, from Rowan County, and I know they married Redwine sisters in 1798 or so. But who are their parents and how are they related to John Davis? Is anyone here researching Robert Clark Davis and Isaac Ross Davis? And if someone has more information on John Redwine's family, I would like to add that to my research. thanks, Pat Fleury --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! 3. Looking for evidence of parents of two Boger women whose marriage bonds are as follows: Groom: Peter Cruse Bride: Caty Boger Bond Date: 27 Aug 1796 Bond #: 000131387 Level Info: North Carolina Marriage Bonds, 1741-1868 ImageNum: 000742 County: Rowan Record #: 03 034 Bondsman: Jacob Lingle Witness: Jno Rogers And: Groom: Jacob Foil Bride: Betsey Boger Bond Date: 24 Oct 1797 Bond #: 000124795 Level Info: North Carolina Marriage Bonds, 1741-1868 ImageNum: 000742 County: Rowan Record #: 01 133 Bondsman: Daniel Boger Witness: Jno Rogers The Cruse Family Genealogy says that Caty and Peter were married "by Pastor Carl August Gotlieb Storch in Organ Church." Most family databases on the web (unfortunately without citing sources) link Caty to a "Catherine Boger" born 10 July 1780, Rowan County, NC, daughter of Jacob Boger and Margaret Leffler. No source is cited for the birth date (baptismal record? Bible record?). Betsey might possibly be Caty's sister, born according to those same family databases 10 Nov 1775 ("Elizabeth Boger"). A "Jacob Boger" is mentioned in the Minutes of Mecklenburg Co NC Ct of Common Pleas and Quarter Sessions, April 1790. A "Jacob Boger" is in the Mecklenburg County, NC 1790 census. That might be the same "Jacob Boger" listed in "Salisbury, Cabarrus County, NC" in 1800; and in Cabarrus County, NC in 1810. Jacob Foil might be the "Jacob Foils" in the 1800 "Salisbury, Mecklenburg County, NC" census and the 1810 Cabarrus County, NC census. Peter Cruse might be the "Peter Croose" in the 1800 "Salisbury, Rowan County, NC" census. I don't know what relationship Jacob Lingle might be to Caty or Peter. Daniel Boger might be a brother to Betsey. Family databases have a "Daniel Boger" brother of Betsy and Caty born 9 October 1773 and marrying an "Elizabeth" around 1795. A "Daniel Boger" appears in the 1800 Salisbury, Rowan County, NC census (another "Daniel Boger appears in the 1800 Salisbury, Cabarrus County, NC census, but he appears to be older by one generation than the Rowan County Daniel). Does the Organ Church have a baptismal register that might corroborate the birth dates and sibling relationships of Caty, Betsy, and Daniel? Did the presumed father Jacob Boger leave any estate to be divided? (Some sources have this Jacob died 1831 Davie County, NC. If 1831, wouldn't that be Rowan County, since Davie was not formed until mid 1830's?) Thanks for any light you might share on disentangling these families! Gary Rolph Manchester New Hampshire
