Dear Stephanie, I have not been able to determine if there is a connection between the two Miller families you mention. It is interesting, though, that both use the name Frederick. According to family tradition, John Miller who married Christina Bolick in Lincoln County, was the son of Frederick Miller. Many family accounts say this Frederick Miller was the son of Wendell Muller (Miller) in Rowan County, but this is just wrong. The descendants of Frederick, son of Wendel, are well accounted for. The Frederick Miller, father of John who married Christina, has also been said to have been the one who was in the NC Assembly in 1778 from Surry County. I can neither prove nor disprove this.
