There is something on the Deadmon/Dedmon family in the "Heritage Book of Rowan Co." It was published by the Genealogy Society of Rowan Co., NC. It came out sometime in the early 1990's I think. I no longer have it and got a look by ordering it through inter-library loan at my local library. I am sorry that I have no further information, but I do remember what caught my interest--one of the Deadmon ancestors was an Indian lady.
