Lois, Thank you for your reply. Jacob's DOB I have is 11-1-1798 and DOD as 12-11-1865. I obtained these dates from the cemetery list of Beulah Methodist Church Waco, Cleveland County, NC. I have Polly's birthdate as the 11-13-1785 and I'm not sure from where I obtained these dates. I doubt that Polly was 9 and gave birth at that young age. I would think 12 or 13 would be more believable. How would I get a copy of the Pension papers? I would be tickled to death. Do you have any proof that Polly was married to the Mr. Wolf? I haven't been able to find anything. I do have the Dedmon info from Leroy Dedmon that Polly was married to Horbert Proctor and had another son Mark Dedmon Proctor about 1806. I have written everybody I can find to find Jacob's father. Polly and her parents were living in Rowan County at the time that she had Jacob, and there was another Jacob Wolf and a Michael Wolf on the census of 1790 of Rowan County. This Jacob Wolf moved to Ky by 1799 as there is some info another lady gave me about land patents of that date. So you see this peeked my curiosity as to maybe this other Jacob Wolf was the Father. Do you know of any stories as to who the father could have been or if there was a marriage to a Wolf? I would love to have the info you have. Are you related to any of my ancestors?
