    1. [ROWANROOTS] German families> Union Co., IL--Lemly & Pastor Storch's Diary

    3. A branch of the Lemly/Lemley line also moved to Union Co., IL, along with these other folks. If anyone runs across them in their lines as connecting via marriage or however, would like to correspond with them. There is a transcribed german diary of a Pastor Storch in the Rowan Co. Public Library I recall finding years ago where some of my early Lemly/Lemley lines marriages and deaths were recorded and those are the *only* records as there are no recorded marriage bonds or burial markers. I was told public records or church records often weren't kept or have been lost/destroyed but this man was way before his time in that he noted in his diary when he married folks, buried folks, baptised folks, etc. Think they said he moved around and pastored at different churches in the area. Am I ever glad he kept his own records! thanks, belinda ----- Original Message ----- From: "marianne dillow" <mdillow31@verizon.net> Sent: Monday, August 27, 2007 12:04 PM Subject: Re: [ROWANROOTS] German families I don't know the spouses names but the Fricks, Earnharts and Treece families in Rowan County had children who moved to Union County, Illinoois. In fact the earlly settlers of Union County, Illinois came from Rowan County. <snip>
