I appreciate all the help, suggestions and leads. For the record, my Jacob FRICK (a RW solider) married about 1788 evidently in Rowan County to Eva Elizabeth EARNHART (to use the more commonly found spelling) -- they had 12 children and removed to Union County, IL in 1823. My ancestor is their eldest child, a son, Henry FRICK who did not go to IL with them but married a TREECE (daughter of another RW veteran) and went first to TN and then to GA. I have many German/Swiss lines in Rowan -- my greatest interest is primarily in those that lived on the Second Creek in the 1750s-1830s. Thanks. Everyone. --Myra Vanderpool Gormley, CG
