Joe, We've corresponded before several times, I think on other lines although I can't remember which they were now - or maybe it was the Smiths - Gary and I are part of the Andrew Smith line out of Hopewell NJ - that came to Jersey Settlement in NC along with the Merrills and others. I will be sending you an invitation to the Smith MyFamily site that Gary has set up and I assist with, there is even some information on the Merrills there as well.
