    3. I cannot say I am positive about all of the Davis's in Rowan before 1800 being the same family, but I have not been able to rule out any of the fragmental families I have found. Primarily because they use the same names over and over again. I figure that if I am ever going to untangle them, I need to know them all. I have 3 families headed by a John Davis born in three generations. Each one has children named John, James and Evan. I suspect that one of them is a son of the another one, but the third one is at least one generation off. I think I have fully sorted out all of the Enochs and Bryan's that married each other. If you wish to compare notes, let me know. My link to Bryan is through Charity Bryan, gd. of Morgan via Joseph Bryan. She married John Davis #2. Their daughter married Wilson Enochs. Enochs is my primary line in this area. His wife is Sarah, but I think she must be a second marriage for him. Sons listed are Hubbard, Wade, and William. Daughters are Magy, Rainy, Jenny, Polly, Patsy, and Lucy. Also, a Wilson Cooper is mentioned--and he was the bondsman for Hubbard's marriage to Sarah Sawyer and also Lucy's marriage. Executor was Michael Redwine and witnesses were Kincheon Stokes and Eli Correl. This family was in Rowan county until their section became Davidson Co. The land was the Shipton Tract on the Yadkin River. I am thinking I need to document all the John Davis families there in an effort to straighten out the connections. Maybe we should get together!
