I wonder if the J.A. Neely is maybe Julius Neely. Just thought that this was interesting and went along with my other post - I went on and looked at a page or two that I copied from Robert T.Cowan 1862 file. It is dated 25 Jan 1870. On this I notice that this page refers to Margaret E, Neely, his widow present wife of N.H. Neely then the two children Leonidas Cowan and Robert Z. Cowan that N.H. Neely is guardian of - this page is something to do with the Administration of the Estate of R. T. Cowan that is dead, without leaving any will that that the administrator of the estate - Jacob. F. Goodman is dead and John R. White is asking to be appointed the administrator of the said estate. Then in 1872 John S. Knox is saying that he did without will and that Goodman is dead and he want to administer the estate. I didn't copy all of the pages that were there on the film, but just enough so that I could maybe place some of the Cowans.
