Are you sure that this isn't Craver - there were tons of Cravers in Davidson Co (which was Rowan Co. during 1790 time period) I have Craver ancestors and there are several Frederick Cravers and there is a William Frederick Craver who had a daughter Maggie Elizabeth Craver who married a George Beck but this is later than yours.......anyway I've never seen any Clavers in this area but there are tons of Cravers......
