Nell, Well - I don't have any Maggies or Margarets born in 1783 in my records unfortunately. Nor are there any Yerick Balthausr Cravers in this line - of that I'm sure. I don't even have any George Cravers in the 1700s. The name of the father in fact now leads me to believe that this isn't part of the Craver line after all. The name Craver by the way actually came from the German name Graber or Graeber (Grave digger) but because the German G has a more percussive sound to it, some American scribe wrote the name down as Craver and for large parts of the family the name stuck. The Grabers first came to the area that is now Montgomery Co., PA (was Philadelphia Co. before that) and were members of the New Goshenhoppen Lutheran church. Andreas Graber and his wife Gertraut were the first to come to America and one of his 3 sons Phillip Craver came south to Rowan (now Davidson) Co. about 1770 or so - the Rowan Co./Davidson Co. Craver descendants all come from Phillip. His sons that we have documented were Michael, Jacob,, Phillip Jr., and Johannes (John) Thomas. This is the same time period in which your George Baltus would have been born and I've never seen any reference to him and he is not a documented son of Phillip. So I'm sorry to have led you astray - I now don't believe your family is connected to these Cravers - sorry I can't help you.
