I am trying to locate the parents of John Moses Fries, who was born about 1841 and died in 1899, and was buried in Salisbury, Rowan County. He married Sarah Rebecca Honeycutt on 26 November 1866 in Cabarrus County, NC. Census records and will abstracts have been less than conclusive in research. There is a Moses listed in the 1850 household of Caleb Freeze. That son was born in 1842 or 1843. Is this the same man? I have yet to investigate the parents of Sarah Rebecca Honeycutt, who may well have been living in Cabarrus County when she married in 1866. I live in Cabarrus and can hunt her down when time allows, but does anyone have any helpful information on her? I descend from their son William Arthur Fries of Rowan County. Katherine Dick Benbow
