    1. That's All Folks!
    2. My apologies to all whose queries I did not get a chance to answer! I was hoping for time this past week-end but I ended up spending around 20 hours on conference calls about problems, and then, well I work for Sprint and you all HEARD that news...Anyway, the queries I did not answer I will keep in hopes that I get a chance to either buy the book (starting on a 12 month get out of debt plan in anticipation of layoff late next year) or I get thru Inter Library Loan again. Best of wishes, Billy

    3. Billy, I marvel at all you've done for all of us, who check Rowan Roots, in the past two weeks. Even though your lookup didn't produce the William Twomey - Nancy Trotter marriage bond I was hoping for, I truly appreciate your effort. And I think that the Thomas L. Twomey you found is William's brother. The willingness to help other people is something I see frequently on Rowan Roots. Thanks again. Wallace Smith in New Orleans

    3. Many thanks to you for posting the Brethren Website. I joined the list and searched through back files and found I am related to a lot of the people being discussed on the list. I wasn't searching the Brethren because I have been looking in nothing but Moravian. The Brethren are also refered to as Tunkards or Dunkards or German Baptist. They also discuss the Reformed church on this site. If you had not sent this to the Rowan List I would never have found my Cripe family so easly. Thanks for sharing. Happy Hunting Catherine Leinbach

    2. Pat, For the most part, many of of us are self taught in what we do with these computers. Some folks are better at understanding computer-geek than others. Those people will help in any way they can to assist as needed. I know I will. Computers are like anything else. The more practice, the better you get. And it is like driving a car. The more we drive, the more dangerous we get. Still we have fun. I don't make fun of other folks learning how to use their computers. If anyone needs help and I can offer assistance, I will do just that. Have a nice week folks. George

    3. Hello, and mea culpa. My apologies to Elizabeth and all, especially for the word 'confused' <gr>. The Moravians should indeed be excepted from the list of religious subsets commonly referred to as 'Dunkards'. With a more careful reading of various things, I realized that scanning texts can be dangerous.... as in 'a little knowledge' :-)). I was the one confused. Because the Moravians and the other groups of the German Baptist movement interacted so often (and then blew apart <gr> just as often) in Europe and America, I had assumed they were sects of the same group. But the Moravians were indeed different from the beginning. And because of their beliefs, they were not 'Dunkards', even under the broadest 'outsider's epithet' usage. The Church of the Brethren site graciously included information on the Moravians, because of their similar histories and problems on two continents, and undoubtedly BECAUSE history/genealogy buffs have often conflated them. But I did not read this specific section carefully enough. I have now. Thanks, Elizabeth Linda

    3. All genealogy programs that I have ever used have a "Help" on the menu. Under the "Help" you will find much good information about your program, including importing and exporting GEDCOMs. Everyone should know how to do this simple task, as it saves the receiver so much time not having to key in all the information. Also, when you purchased your genealogy program there was probably a Users Manual included. In the index look under GEDCOMs, importing & exporting.
