Anyone: I saw within the last month a description about a software program that will print out the family history superimposed over a timeline that shows events happening in the world at the time of a given family member's entry. But have misplaced the reference. Can anyone help? Thanks, Bert Simerson@Compuserve.com
There's no Daniel Snepp in the telephone directory in Evansville, In today. Perhaps an unlisted no... Joyce
Charmaine: I don't know how much help this will be. if any, but... when I went to Bosse High School in Evansville, Indiana, from 1942-1946, the Assistant Principal and Dean of Boys was a man named Daniel Snepp. He had a couple of children, if I remember correctly. The family might still reside there but I don't know. I love this genealogy! Cookie, in Florida
Donna; Could you look for a Robert Johns(t)on who had sons William and Thomas (and others)? I am hunting for a William Thomas Johnson b. either 1742 or 1750, and m. a Sarah?, They were in Rowan County, in the Salisbury area. I know this is quite a task, and would be so grateful. Thanks in advance. Best Wishes. Ellen Carper echo2@bright.net

Really need a county to look up in Olds book. I checked NC Taxpayers, 1701-86 & did not find the name, any spelling. Grimes has nothing on your name. Dear Ray, Thank you for taking time to reply to me and send the references. I have gathered quite a bit of information on the early Schnepps lines of brothers Johannes and Lorentz, but Lorentz's descendents are not so well researched after he and his family migrated to the Yadkin Valley of North Carolina. I am hoping to find others with further information on the family lines of Lorentz and Elizabeth Eyler (Euker) Schnepp (Snapp). Perhaps it would help if I gave a brief run down: Lorentz and Elizabeth Eyler Schnepp had these children: Johannes (John), only known record is birth and baptism Lorentz (Lawrence) Barbara m. Matthais Barringer (no further information on this line) Christianna m. Michael Holzhauser (no further information on this line) Catharina m. John (Johannes) George Reel (Sr) (this is my line) Elisabetha (Never married) Anna Margaret m. John (Johannes) Samuel Rintleman (Sr) Further inforamtion: Catharina and J. George Reel had these children: J. George Reel (Jr) m. Mary Stroup (Lincoln Co., NC) (my line) Elizabeth m. Unknown Pinkley (thought to be named Michael) Godfrey (Gottfried) m. Catharine "Caty" Cloninger Catharine m. John Samuel Rintleman, Jr (1st cousins) David m. ? Jacob m. ? Lewis m. ? John m. ? Devolt m. ? Daniel m. Barbara (they migrated to Texas) Anne Margaret and John S. Rintleman (Sr) had these children: Jacob m. Elizabeth Fullenwider (they and their children, Henry, Jacob, Jr, Harris, Caleb, John S., Margaret, Anna Elisabeth, Sarah, Martin and Samuel all migrated to Union Co., IL. Several of the children married Hartlines who originated in Rowan Co also) John Samuel (Jr) m. Catharina Reel (1st cousins) Elisabeth m. John Stirewalt (nothing else known) Henry Martin m. Experience Harris (nothing further known) Barbara m. Matthais Barringer (May be her cousin from marriage of her aunt Barbara Snapp to Matthais Barringer) Perhapps there are others on the list who have some knowledge about some of these descendents. Thanks for being helpful! Charmaine
Betty-- You need to be more specific. For the one book I need a county because it is not indexed. First names will be of help also. Also have a book on "North Carolina Taxpayers--1701-1786" that I'd be willing to do lookups in. If anyone in Orange Co., I have a Will Abrastract book for just that Co. Dear Charmaine, Additional information on this family is given in Lorena Eaker's "German Speaking People West of the Catawba River in NC 1750-1800". She was the daughter of Conrad Eyler of Lancaster County, PA. Lorentz and wife Anna Catharina had eleven children baptized in eight different villages in Alsace from 1691-1714. Aftewr death of Anna Catharina, Lorentz married (2) at Hatten, Anna Barbara Stockel and had two more children. Bryan Grimes, 1980 [these wills are on file in State Archives, as before about 1800 it was required that they were sent to the state (in NC) & some were probated from the state level I understand.
