---------- From: Shirley Treadway shirleyt@dnet.net My ancestors are ADAM ROTH, b. abt. 1820 Bavaria, emigrated abt. 1849, settled in Pittsburgh, PA. This information is from family history - can't find any "concrete" evidence about any of this. His son, GEORGE, was my g-grandfather, who lived for a time in Wood Co. WV (occup. Cooper), then removed to Townville, Crawford Co. PA. Question #1: Does anyone out there have any information on these men or their families? Question #2: I am curious about the Roth complexion. I have pictures of George and all his children. They all have dark complexions with very brown eyes, and are large boned. Most of their children inherited the same. George's wife, Margaret Rost, was also from Germany, but I don't know what she looked like. I always had heard that the German people were fair, blond, and blue-eyed. This makes me wonder "Where did my Roths originally come from???" Would appreciate any help or enlightenment. Thanks shirleyt@dnet.net
