Posted on: Roth Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/surnames/rot/Roth/10197 Surname: Roth ------------------------- David, Hi, That is interesting, I don't know if there is a connection though, I hope I can find out! With this Roth line unfortunately I started from scratch. Martin died of tuberculosis in 1906 before my father was born and Martins son Edwin (my dads grandfather) had moved to California and Edwins son Eugene (my dads father) also died of tuberculosis when my father was about 11 yrs old. My grandmother remarried and in those days kids were not free to ask questions like they do today. Martins naturalization papers were from Huron, I got a copy from Norwalk probate court, but on the papers it stated that he had filed his declaration of intent in Sandusky County so this Fri. I am going to the Rutherford B Hayes Library where the dec. of intents are kept. I called them and they do have a Martin Roth that arrived in the USA in 1881....I hope it's him! If I have time on my way back I would like to go to the Woodlawn Cemetery in Norwalk, that's where Martin and his family are buried there are over 50 Roths buried there.
