I too am looking for information regarding the Rothe family, It seems to be somewhat rare and because my great grandfather, Otto Rainier, disappeared at a young age and my grandfather Paul Walton, (although when he died we found that his birth certificate read Otto Paul) refused to talk about his heritage we are at a loss in researching the Rothe family. From what we do know, my grandfather lived in Wisconsin for a time and then spent the rest of his days in the Rolla, Missouri area.
