Hi, I was given some very old pages from a Bible many years ago, and have held on to them hoping to find the family they belong to...I hope that someone one on this mailing list will recognize some of the names/dates, and claim them. The writing is cursive, hard to make out, and I believe in German..so please forgive me if I make a mistake in translating the info :o) Here are some of the clearer entries: Johnni ROLF August 30, 1887 Columbus Ohio Ralfovina August 1, 1889 Columbus Ohio Morice Ralfasina ROLF Sept. 3, 1891 Columbus Ohio Margeretha Fligabelt ROTH August 21 1894 Columbus, Ohio Johann ROTH (or RATH) June (or July) 27, 1861 Magaretha Jan 17, 1866 heiligen (married?) Nov 25, 1886 (Looks like "Kinche" Columbus, Ohio) another page (as if it is from another Bible) has: Johann 8-30-1889 Maria Katharina 8-1-1889 Maria Magaretha 3-6-1891 and yet another page has Irving ROELF 4-11-1830 If any of these remotely ring a bell, please let me know...keep in mind that I may have some of the letters in the name wrong due to the hard to read, writing (ie., I think the "Morice Ralfasina" is most likely "Maria Katharina"...but just in case, I have typed it the way it appears on the page) I do not have any ROTH family, but in searching my own history, I know how valuable Bible pages can be--so I really hope there is someone out there to claim these! *hugs* Lorrie SOWDER lorilyn@pmail.net
