I have another Roth family I would like to make a connection to: Mr. and Mrs. Christian A. Roth have been married for fifty years. Christian A. Roth and Fredericka Christian Lentz were married in Brackenheim, Wurtemburg, Germany on January 8, 1854 and three weeks later sailed for America. PA. in Dec. 1805. Another ROTH researcher: Eddie SMITH has a Paul & Mary Catharine REITER_ROTH b. 1786 and 1787 respectively in Numidia, Columbia Co. PA. I have two of Paul & Catharine's children registered at the First Reformed Church: Thomas Bradley ROTH b. 8-7-1810 and Sophia ROTH b. 3-27-1813 Eddie has 6 OTHER children (but NOT Thomas or Sophia...?) Jospeh, Charles, William F., Elizabeth, "Kitty" (Katherine?) and a daughter A. (If these 6 ARE related to my two, that last daughter may be Alice...I have an Alice as a daughter of Thomas) Eddie's birth dates for Paul & Mary Catharine are well within acceptable limits for my Paul & Catharine and the birth dates for all of our combined children...plus Columbia Co. is very close to Berks Co. So we think we have a match. Eddie only has a birth date (for his line) through William F. ROTH (b. 5-5-1819). No dates for the others. Paul & Mary Catharine AND son William F. were owner-operators of "The Eagle Hotel" in Shamokin, Northumberland Co. PA. (Columbia Co's western neighbor). They were a prosperous family.
