I have located records for several Roths who originated in Susannental or Susannenthal. I would very much like to contact anyone who can trace their roots to this village or is interested in checking to see if their Roths came from this village. The Roths I have found have married those who hold the other surnames I have listed. I have a gen. data base I would be willing to search and other information I would be willing to share. I would like to locate as many of the villages decendants that I can.

They had three children, Joseph Franklin, LeRoy Gilman, and Elizabeth Emma (or Emma Elizabeth, depending on which Census you look at). According to 1900 census of Montgomery County, he lists his birthplace as being in Kentucky, in the next 2 census, he lists it as being Illinois. His father came from Germany sometime before William was born in Feb. 1858. I don't know where or when William and Martha died - probably in Kansas, as that is where they were last residing in 1920 with their son LeRoy. I haven't been able to find William in either Illinois or Kentucky. All help would be appreciated.

    3. Dear Paul, Herbert G. ROTH married my aunt, Marie Gertrude GILBERT (b. 1912, Grass Valley, Nevada County, California, USA). He was an officer in the Navy and went to Annapolis. His father (don't recall his name right off hand) was also an officer in the Navy. Herbert and Marie were very active in the Masonic Order. They also had papillon dogs. They adopted a son named Daniel. Daniel married Kathy and had 2 or 3 boys. Divorced, then married Becky. Have no idea where they are. Herbert and Marie traveled a lot - both early in their marriage and later on in life. Worked with silver and turqoise during last years of their lives. Last place of residence for Herbert was Mesa, Arizona, where he died. Marie came back to Lower Lake and died there. Herbert's sister, Jean, married ______ BLANK. They had 2 daughters: Valerie and Shelley. One of them was an ice skater with the Ice Follies, and the other was a violinist with the symphony. That's about all I know. Maybe our lines will connect...keep me posted. Geri R. I am trying to find the ancestors and descendants of John Roth, born about 1817 in Bavaria, m. Maria Frederich (Frederick) prior to emigrating to the U.S. The Roth's arrived in Harrison Co. Indiana in the 1850's, and John apparently died soon after abt. 1860. Their daughter, Anna Maria Roth, married Ferdinand Ott in Bradford, IN in 1860.

    3. Hello, Here is the address of the Brasilian post author: wtroth@zipmail.com.br Thanks to all for the translation. I am the host of the ROTH suite of boards. In regards to "Gatewaying": Here's how it works. In order to establish a gateway, two things need to happen:     1. The mailing list administrator needs to add     `gc-gateway@rootsweb.com´ to their accept list.     2. The GC Board administrator needs to activate the gateway, using     the Change Page at http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/signup/change.html. If the GC Board administrator activates the gateway but `gc-gateway@rootsweb.com´ hasn't been added to your accept list, then GC posts will try to send posts to your list, but they will be tagged "{not a subscriber}" and bounced to you. This is important; GC admins should *not* try to activate the gateway without first checking with the corresponding mailing list admin. If you are interested in connecting, please let me know. Thanks Regards, Paul
