She married Johann Michael Scheidecker 10/1/1857, Dundenheim, Baden, Germany, & she died Dec 12, 1866 after 7 children. Johann Michael Scheidecker then married Karolina Roth, born Feb 5, 1838, Ichenheim, on March 14, 1867, & they immigrated to America in 1883. Don't know if Karolina died in Baden Germany before immigration to America or if she came with Johann Michael, & children of 1st & 2nd marriages to America. Does anyone know who the parents of these Roth's might be?

    3. Hi, There is a site with lots of Roth's from PA on it. It is an Amish/Mennonite obituary site from mid 1800's to 1995. The obits were printed in the magazine of the church for all U.S. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~mennobit/index.html My husband is a YODER, very common name in PA. His parents were mennonite, so I have been looking at the list for his side, but was surprised to see many ROTH listings. My maiden name was Roth, but was shortened from Rothstein. The Roth's on this site, or many of them, have mentioned being born in Alsac France or other places. Just thought I would pass this along. The students, accompanied on the Montana trip by William Seivers, Dalles high school band director, gained their recognition from placings they received in the various musical events staged under the direction of widely known and celebrated conductors. In the orchestra, under the direction of James R. Robertson, conductor of the Wichita Symphony, Neil Roth was principal celloist among 20 other competitors; Jerry Harris was principal viola over 14 or 15 other players; Nick Wheeler gained the second chair position among 12 other basses; Lois Delano, bassoonist, was awarded first chair second bassoon and Clair Hunt was placed in the second cornet section. Joe Irby, second trombonist in The Dalles high school band, was advanced to the third chair, first trombone in the 190 piece all Northwest band directed by Clarence E. Sawhill, director of the University of Southern California band. The choir, under the baton of Maynard Klein, conductor of the University of Michigan choir, saw Bob Boyles sing first bass in the boysÂ’ chorus and choir and Beverly Goodwin sing second soprano in the girlsÂ’ glee and 380 voice chorus. In comparison to the other schools attending the meet from the five Northwestern states represented, The Dalles had more students playing prominent parts than any other entry. Credit for the performance of the local students goes to Glenn Betschart, string ensemble director at Dalles high school, and Band Director William Seivers. 3. Hi Bill E., My KY. EUBANK family met my ROTHs in Brocton, Edgar Co. IL. (Three ROTH brothers married three EUBANK sisters). You wrote: "Peter Roth was a sponsor in babtis at St. Mary's Lanesville". I have a Peter Paul ROTH b. 1841 Washington Twp. Pickaway Co. OH, a brother to the ROTHs who married the EUBANK sisters. But he went from IL to MT. (1860s) I think I already sent you my site address, but, if not: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~paroth Hi Guy, You wrote: "Enos Rhoads1,2,3 was born on 29 Apr 1816. He died on 18 Sep 1894. I have one (ROTH)RHOAD(E)S, Catherine b. 1807 Berks Co. PA. I've been trying to find her family with little success. I know who she married (Peter SHEFFLER), who her children were and where she is buried, but I don't know any more about her. Family lore says she was a niece to Daniel BOONE (from an obit of Emma SHEFFLER_SASSERMAN that also mentions a Hannah WINTER-BOONE connection). I've always thought that was just wishful thinking...until recently, when I read a page on the BOONE site about Hannah WINTER ! The research group thinks there just might be some truth in that SASSERMAN obit. Do you know if your RHOADS are connected to the BOONEs of Berks Co.? I will send the BOONE site URL to the list. Regards, Paul
