    3. Tina The 1881 Census has many errors and Sunderland instead of Sutherland is one of the common ones. If you have Sutherland roots you should always search Sunderland, England. One particularly so as his birth is transcribed as Lochinver, Sunderland, Durham, England. Surely this should be Sutherland, Scotland, making him invisible on a computer search. > > Vessel "Isabella" at Liverpool, Lancashire, England > > All male and unmarried > > John McDonald, Master, 55 born Applecross, R&C, Scotland > > Donald McBeath, Mate, 43 born Shieldiag, R&C, Scotland > > Alexander McNair, A.B.Seaman, 23 born Applecross R&C, Scotland > > John McLeod, A.B.Seaman, 25 born Lochinver, Sunderland, Durham, England > > Thomas Gordon, Boy, 14 born Applecross, R&C, Scotland > > Hope they may be of interest to someone. > > Tina > > > ==== ROSSGEN Mailing List ==== > To remove your email address from this list, visit this url: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~cheps/maillist.htm > >
