Hello All As a young girl in the late 1920's and early 30's my mother and her parents returned to live in Glasgow.Her maternal grandparents were Donald McINTYRE from Fort William and Margaret ROSS from Alness and my mother spent a fair amount of time around Alness visiting relatives and a great help with my family research. In 1967 we as a family spent a night in Fort William whilst touring Scotland and the experience has stayed with my mother. Well she is now 81 and a few weeks ago saw an advertisment for a tour leaving from London,travelling along the west coast of Scotland to Fort William and the Isle of Skye (where she has always wanted to go) and back down the east coast.Although I was asked to go,it has ended up that my daugthter- in-law has accompanied her.
