Hello, I have once again made an effort to try to track down some Scottie ancestors, and I am hoping that someone could assist me. All I know about Alexanderina (Stewart) McLeod's parents is the following. Murdoch STEWART married Janet (Jessie) McLean 3 Feb 1842 in Lochbroom. Alexanderina Stewart, (born 1842-ish Lochbroom) their daughter - there may be other children that I don't know about as yet - was married 23 Jun 1863 in Dounie, Kincardine Parish, Ross-shire, to Alexander McLEOD. At this time, Murdoch Stewart was listed as a tenant farmer on her marriage certificate. Alexanderina was stated as saying that she resided in Hill of Ardgay in 1863, at the time of her marriage. So my BIG ask - would it be possible, if it is easy to do so, if this couple could be looked up in census returns - 1851,1861,1871...or later.??? This would be truly truly appreciated!
