I think it might have been the Auxilliary Training Corps, but I can't find out much about it on the web. Maybe somebody a wee bit older than me can help. Lachie
Hi Just a general question... I am confronting a strange family situtation and wondering.... Was it common in the highlands in the 1840's when twins were born to give one of the twin babies to a brother (and wife) to raise? The family that had the twins had already birthed several presumably healthy babies (all males) and went on after the twins to have some more. For interest, the twins mother kept the girl and gave the boy away.
