I do have a small map I can send you by attachment if you would like. My Gr. Grandmother was born in Avoch. Anna (list admin.) My G.grandmother was born in Avoch also. MACINTOSH, JACK, REID, PATIENCE are a few of my names. It's a very interesting place and I even went there for my honeymoon in the early 80's. Quite an interesting dialect which may be related (some words) to Hebrew traditions spoken by the Herring Fishing business people. You can still hear the old brogue with the "thee's and "thou's" spoken by a few of the oldest natives. Unfortunately the speech traditions are dying out. I love Avoch and feel a great connection there even though I'm third generation. I'd love to go back. Christine in Ohio, USA
