Dear Ann, I read your posting with interest. I am not sure if there is any connection with the ROSS family you are looking for but I thought I could post what little I know about mine from the same area of Kincardine. I have an Angus MacKenzie (1791-1865) of Stewartfield, a small farm on the eastern outskirts of Stornoway, who was a son of John MacKenzie and Margaret Ross, and was born in Kincardine Parish, near the town of Bonar Bridge. He was married to CATHERINE ROSS (1796-1869) , daughter of Donald Ross , an Army Pensioner, and Jessie Ross, from that same area. They had six children: Margaret, George and Donald, Peter, Helen and Mary. It would be great to find a connection in all of this. Janet
