I am trying to find parents for Daniel Ross and Agnes McKellar. Daniel was born in Blackhill, Logie-Easter, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland in 1790. He married Agnes McKellar in 1814 in Cowel in Bute, Argyll, Scotland. Their two first children were christened in Lanark, Scotland supposedly. Then their next two children are born in Logie-Easter, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland. Then their last 6 children are born in Helensburgh, Dunbarton, Scotland. In 1847 they were in Bonhill, Dunbarton, Scotland. By 1851 they were on a ship headed for the United States. Is it likely that this family would move around this much? The Ross family seems to have truly been from Ross and Cromarty; however, Agnes lists her birthplace as Kilenin, Argyll, Scotland. A church record gives her birth as Glennan, Calphanan, Argyle, Scotland so she might easily have married in Argyll, but would they then go back and forth this much?
