Hi: I have just obtained a pedigree of the Ross family starting with Malcolm Ross, 1st Earl in the 1100's. It was done by a relative in 1910 and works its way down to us in Canada. We are descended down through Hugh of Raridies, then on to Alexander Ross 1st Chief of Little Tarrel, and down and down. Many dates are missing, but it is very interesting to read, it really requires alot of study. I wonder if someone out there would tell me where Little Tarrel is? I know it is in Ross Cromarty, and that is all. How far away is Little Tarrel from Balnagown Castle? I have a notation regarding a tombstone in TORBET CHURCH. Is this spelt right and where is Torbet?
